Business Development is Simply What We Do!

Founder and CEO, Tameka Morris has always had a passion for business. While completing business school she started her own company so that she could help business owners who may have the talent, or education required to operate their business, but needed assistance with a wide variety of issues that was outside of their expertise. Ms. Morris noticed that many businesses struggled with the same problems. There are so many technical issues, workflow issues, and many need help with branding, logo design, website design, software selection, and implementation, choosing the right IT company based on their business needs, and even remodeling. She can help put all the pieces of the puzzle together to achieve a more desirable outcome. She realized that although many professionals were experts in  their field, they did not have the time or knowledge to focus on the key elements affecting their business. This is the reason why she opened a consulting firm that would assess, recommend and help implement the changes needed to take their business to another level.

The observations made were astonishing. She noticed that many professionals had a high level of risk, and exposure because they did not have someone in charge of important tasks for departments like Human Resources, or even compliance. Instead those duties were more of an adhoc assignment given to whoever was available at the moment. The problem with this model is that there is no consistency and it increases risk for the business, by creating the opportunity for many legal issues. Now, with that being said, she also understood the challenges many small practices face with many tasks to complete and limited staff. Thus the reason she uses technology to help embrace and facilitate a better workflow so that there can be more organization, better communication and less liability overall.

For example: In a healthcare facility when a therapist is hired before his/her clearances are complete, this creates increased risk, and demonstrates the need for a system to be put in place where you can track the work being done and everyone is accountable. Also if the state comes to do an audit and charts are not in compliance or employees folders are incomplete due to missing licenses etc..the consequences can be financial with long term effects.

Also, finding the right candidates can be a very time consuming, and expensive task, but not getting this right can have a negative impact on your business, whether it is operations or even financially. Creating the best organizational structure includes placing the right candidates in the best fitting roles. Human resources is essential to your organization.

However, if your organization has a bad reputation, recruitment can be difficult. Every business owner needs to understand that their company image is important. There is direct correlation between a business’s reputation and their bottom line. It doesn’t just affect your potential consumers, it also affects your potential employees.

Marketing, and networking are two ways to control your image, or create presence in an industry where you were once barely visible or isolated. Expanding your network also assists with the growth of your business. In order to market your company, people need to see you as a brand, and just like any other area of your business consistency is important.

You can also embrace technology as a part of your marketing strategy. Your website will be the first thing most people see, before they arrive at your physical location. You need the right level of expertise to ensure that not only your website but also your software,  and office equipment is efficient and reliable. If you neglect the IT component to your business then you will end up in the same situation that she observed at many other offices. No fax, no internet, printer not working, and you have texted and emailed the IT guy, but no response yet. Don’t let this be you!

Another area that is crucial to the success of your business is the billing department. Whether it is claims being submitted to the wrong location, billing information not being updated, or employees not entering claims correctly, or maybe not applying  payments when they come in, or even late submission. She has seen it all. You need the right professionals to help you get it right. We can show you how to use technology to streamline the process and ways to create better efficiency throughout different departments.

Choosing the correct software for your business can eliminate many problems because you would have a much better workflow with realtime information for several different parts of the business in one place. It is not best practice to have a different program for everything, and using outdated software might seem like a less expensive option, but it is actually more expensive. You would benefit more from using software that is interactive with the level of support that is right for your business. You don’t want to be in a situation where you have to wait for the IT guy to respond, and then see if it is something he can fix It. These are things that can be avoided if you have the right company to assist you with the selection, contract negotiation and implementation setup of the right software that will meet your business needs.

You may have old contracts that need to be renegotiated. This could have a huge impact on your bottom line, because your contracts dictate how much you get paid, or how much you have to pay to other vendors and just like any other business you would like to have fair compensation for your work. We help to navigate you through that process. Of course you will have many other contracts through the course of doing business that you will need help negotiating, and we are here to provide you with that assistance.
